Alan Austin currently serves as Managing Director at Litecoin Foundation. Alan started his career out of graduate school working with a small startup company to help develop the first value-added real estate technology platform that was successfully sold to Ocwen Financial Corporation (OCN: NYSE). Since 2015, he has worked on various Bitcoin-related topics, focusing primarily on security and interoperability, and in 2022, he earned a PhD in computer science from Imperial College London.

Mr. Kilic has over 20 years' experience as an entrepreneur and electronic engineer with expertise in cryptocurrency, capital markets, real estate development and scientific research. He founded Fortress Blockchain Corp. in 2017 and led this company as CEO to go public as a Tier 1 Technology Issuer on the TSX-V, raising $30M in the process.

With this experience Mr. Kilic brings the HIVE team his comprehensive understanding of the intersect of cryptocurrency and the Canadian capital markets, public company audit demands and exchange rules, along with the importance of ESG investing. Additionally, as a development executive, Mr. Kilic has received commitments from Canadian banks for over $100M in financing for land rezoning and development projects and has secured over $200M of land acquisition offers, while bringing over $100M of project value to market in BC. Mr. Kilic will lead HIVE in its global expansion and development of data centers, reporting directly to Frank Holmes, Executive Chairman.

Charlie Lee is the creator of Litecoin and Director of the Litecoin Foundation. He attended MIT where he graduated in 2000 with a Bachelors and Masters degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Prior to creating Litecoin, Charlie was a Software Engineer at Google. In 2011, he created Litecoin in an effort to improve upon Bitcoin’s high fees, slower transaction times, and scalability issues. Dennis Porter is the CEO and Co-Founder of Satoshi Action Fund, and the Founder and President of Satoshi Action Education. He is a leading advocate for Bitcoin, leveraging a methodical, bottom-up approach to drive political change. Dennis has successfully spearheaded the passage of Bitcoin-protective laws at the state level, including the widely recognized "Right to Mine" bill, enacted in two states in 2023, and the "Bitcoin Rights," passed in two states in 2024. In addition to his policy work, Dennis has co-authored several peer-reviewed research papers, contributing foundational insights to the Bitcoin ecosystem. Donald was a financial consultant at UBS Securities and Morgan Stanley. He later started several companies in the fintech sector, receiving investments from prominent VCs such as SoftBank and Carlos Slim. In 2012 Donald learned about Bitcoin, and in 2013 started a blog and podcast about the fintech and blockchain industries. In 2015, he started a company called Etherplan, a global wealth management platform on Ethereum, and co-founded Global Financial Access Inc. with Nick Szabo, a blockchain pioneer. In 2018, Donald worked as business development and marketing manager at ETCDEV. Since December of 2018 he has been a volunteer in the Ethereum Classic ecosystem. Donald worked as Business Development Manager at Biwares, a data science firm, and Operations Manager at Emerald, a blockchain wallet. Dr. Sven Hildebrandt has been working on the intersection of Distributed Ledger Technology and regulation since 2017 and has served as an advisor to regulated financial institutions such as DEKA, dwpbank, Donner & Reuschel Aktiengesellschaft as well as HANSAINVEST hanseatische Investment-GmbH that set up the first fund from a regulated Asset Management Company investing directly into crypto assets. Up until recently, he was working for a German Crypto Exchange.

Francisco Cabañas - ArticMine Based in Canada, Francisco holds a PhD in Physics and has extensive business and non-profit experience. He has actively researched and invested in cryptocurrencies, since 2011. Francisco started researching Bitcoin in August of 2011 and investing in Bitcoin, and mining Bitcoin in October 2011. He first learned about, and started researching Monero in May of 2014, and started investing in Monero and mining Monero in June of 2014. Francisco has experience in CPU, GPU and ASIC mining. Phil Zimmermann is the creator of Pretty Good Privacy (PGP), which has grown from its origins in 1991 as a human rights tool to become the most widely used email encryption software in the world. Since 2004, his focus has been on secure Internet telephony protocols. He is Co-founder of Silent Circle, a provider of secure telephony services.

Zimmermann has received numerous technical and humanitarian awards for his pioneering work in cryptography. In 2015 he received the US Privacy Champion Award from the Electronic Privacy Information Center. Zimmermann is Associate Professor Emeritus of cybersecurity at Delft University of Technology. He received an Honorary Doctorate from the Université Libre de Bruxelles in 2016. He served as Fellow at the Stanford Law School's Center for Internet and Society.

Ramon Amela Milian is a Research Engineer at Rootstock Labs, with a diverse and multidisciplinary background in engineering and computer science. He earned his degrees from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and École Nationale des Ponts ParisTech. Following his academic achievements, Ramon worked at the intersection of engineering and computer science in both research centers and the industry. Ryan Lackey is Chief Security Officer at Evertas, the world's leading insurance provider dedicated to the cryptocurrency industry. He has been involved in crypto since the Cypherpunks mailing list in the mid 1990s, and has founded several security, privacy, and infrastructure companies, as well as worked for a variety of small to huge enterprises around the world.

Prior to Evertas, Ryan was CSO and on the board of a top-10 crypto foundation in Switzerland, founded a single-use high security computing hardware service for high-risk travel, and started a secure virtualization startup, funded by Y Combinator, which was sold to Cloudflare in 2014 (where he then worked for several years as product manager for security products, including launching a secure DNS registrar and the first Internet-scale free SSL certificate program for tens of millions of sites.)

Sergio Demian Lerner is a pioneering Bitcoin L2 researcher. As early as 2012, he proposed P2PTradeX, the idea behind all validating bridges. In 2016 he designed the Rootstock sidechain, including its merge-mining subsystem, and bridge, which then he helped transform into the current Powpeg, one of the first HSM-secured federated bridges. He also published the first drivechain BIP, and discovered a critical Bitcoin vulnerability affecting many Bitcoin bridges: the Merkle node type confusion.
